Our Pre-K Success Kit was designed to facilitate interaction between an adult and a child in the process of building the child’s fine motor skills and confidence. The Pre-K Success Kit offers the child engaging activities to build muscle with hand and eye coordination necessary for fine motor tasks and handwriting, as well as multiple opportunities for the adult to offer specific praise with each successful experience!
Being an educator and a parent I am aware of the higher standards in the preschool and Kindergarten classrooms today, and the pressure placed upon early learing preparation. The Pre-K Success Kit will enable parents to work with their child on building fine motor skills at home to give them a head start. At home these tools will encourage your child to choose, discover, create and work at their own natural pace.
Fine motor skills are defined as coordination of small muscle movements, which occur in the fingers and thumb, usually in coordination with the eyes. The development of these skills allow one to be able to complete fundamental life tasks—such as buttoning, drawing and writing.
The Pre-K Success Kit combines fine motor skill “tools” such as crayons, scissors, hole-punchers, modeling dough, stickers, stencils and more, along with a carefully researched and developed activities guide that naturally helps build coordination with each “tool.” These outlined activities found in the Teaching Guide will empower the adult and encourage the child.
